This movie is a 2011 remake of the 2009 Swedish movie of the same name. The 2009 movie is subtitled, but the story and the acting were very good.

There seems to be some confusion between this movie and the 2009 movie by the same name. Some of the reviews here were probably meant for the other movie, which is in Swedish and has subtitles. This version is in English, which answers Danyne?s question about why they made the same movie twice. Although both movies are good, I prefer this version because, quite frankly, having to read subtitles takes away from being fully immersed in the film. Daniel Craig is just an added bonus!

I seen the movie several times in 2009 and the subtitles made no difference to me because the action out weighted the excellent movie at that time. So this turned out to be one of the best movies you see this year and you NEED TO SEE IT at the movie house because I have all ready viewed the film in a pre-screening. Daniel Craig added to the movies remake. David Fincher Director, makes a great movie better, if that is possible. The film has NO subtiitles
