KaziBongo: Estates Supervisor Uganda Wildlife Education Centre

Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC) formerly known as Entebbe Zoo is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage seeking to recruit competent candidates for the following vacancies for a contract period of three years (renewable).

1. Estates Supervisor (1):
Reports to: Manager Finance, Administration and Business
Development.
Requirement:

Qualifications: Diploma in Civil/ Electrical Engineering or its equivalent. Plumbing, carpentry and metal fabrication knowledge will be an added advantage.
Competencies and skills required:

A minimum of 3 years experience in related functions;
? Able to construct and undertake various preventative maintenance tasks as maybe required on; buildings, animal holding facilities, enclosures and the perimeter fence.
? Proficiency in ensuring that troughs and ponds are in functional conditions that meet the health and welfare needs of animals under our care.
? Ability to implement a sound Environmental Management System (EMS) in conformity with the Zoo Accredited Institutional Standards and national legislations.
