Delta College employees and the Associated Student Body Government (ASBG) invite you to help conquer kids cancer at a special "Head Shaving Event" on Thursday, August 16, from 12:30-2:00 at the Delta College Quad.
This St. Baldrick's Foundation charity event works to fight childhood cancers. St. Baldricks funds more childhood cancer research than any organization in the country. Get involved and give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting cancer.
Join the SJDC family and support the fight against childhood cancers! Whether you decide to be a ?Shavee,? volunteer, or donate, come be part of the excitement. The goal is to raise $3,500 dollars for St. Baldrick?s, with the end result - Delta College staff member, Claudia Navarro, will have a shaved head!
Claudia?s shaving will honor her niece, Isabella Mays, who was diagnosed at age four with Optic Nerve Glioma. Optic Nerve Glioma is a tumor that appears on the structure that carries visual input from the eye to the brain. Isabella has endured chemotherapy?for four years.
If you would like to participate in this event to raise money for St. Baldrick?s as a ?Shavee,? donate, or just help with the event, please visit the participant link below. For more information please contact Claudia Navarro, (209) 565-9105, navarrofamily7@gmail.com.
